The Ivory Pine

Our Most Used Baby Products

in Lifestyle, Motherhood, Shop on 10/25/19

Now that Oakley is 8 months old, I feel confident in sharing with you all the baby items we use and love the most. Of course we used some things more when he was younger and new things now that he’s older, but I’ll just share it all here in one place!! Just click on the highlighted words to instantly shop, or scroll down to view the products and click on the photos to shop that way as well.

  • Swaddles: The Miracle Blanket Swaddle
  • Sleep Sack: We love these ones from Carter’s because they zip from the bottom and you don’t have to try putting the zipper together on a squirmy baby! Plus they’re cozy and affordable!
  • Bottles: We use the Smilo bottles and we love them!
  • Comfy Clothes: My absolute favorite place to get comfy-cozy clothes is from Mebie Baby and Little Bipsy. They are more of an investment, so I don’t buy too much from here, but nonetheless, they’re still my faves!
  • Nail Clippers: I got these before he was born and they are still the only nail clippers I use for him. I love how it allows you to see the nail before you cut. It’s seriously so easy and I never have to worry if I cut too short.
  • Bowls/Utensils: These bowls are cute and durable. They also have a suction bottom to keep it in place! The utensils are both a fork and a spoon in one! At one end there is a spoon, and at the other there is a fork. It’s also silicone and easy to clean. I will say they do stain if you feed your baby sweet potatoes or anything with a pigment like that.
  • Silicone Bibs: Such game changer! Oakley is a messy eater and is always moving in his highchair, so sometimes his food doesn’t make it in his mouth and it will drip onto his bib. They have the cutest colors and patterns and are the easiest to clean!
  • High Chair: This Ikea highchair is super simple and easy to keep clean. It’s also only $20, so it’s a no-brainer why we bought it! The height is shorter than most highchairs (at Remi’s head-level to be exact haha) and I love that it is light-weight.
  • Humidifier: We have started using this again because Oakley is stuffy right now. I like how it looks too!
  • Pajamas: Oakley was and still is a “happy spitter”, so we go through lots of outfit changes. Carters, Gerber baby, Burt’s Bees and Spearmint Baby are some of my favorite brands. You want inexpensive, but comfy jammies, and we always use these brands.
  • Shampoo/Body Wash: Tubby Todd or Aveeno Baby is all that we use for him. I can’t recommend Tubby Todd enough! We even use their sunscreen in the summer.
  • Lotion After Bath: He doesn’t have Eczema, but this leaves his body feeling soft and hydrated the next day! Our pediatrician recommended this to us since Oakley gets dry skin sometimes.
  • Baby Q-tips: I use these every other day when we do bath time. Oakley enjoys having his ears cleaned (who doesn’t?!) and they’re safe for tiny ears!
  • Baby Carrier: Oakley still loves to be worn and I go back and forth between my Solly Wrap, and this Boppy carrier. The Boppy is used more now because it allows him to face outwards comfortably so he can look around. I use the Solly wrap for when I need him to take a nap if we are out and about because its more snug and it holds his head in close.
  • Baby Food: I make most of Oakley’s food, but these pouches are what we feed him for dinner and he LOVES them! He doesn’t eat chunks of food yet, so having this as an option is amazing! He loves all the flavors and the ingredients are super clean!
  • Sound Machine: We tried the Hatch sound machine for a little while, but we ended up switching to this one because we liked the white-noise sound better. I plan on using the Hatch when he is a little older, so he can use the night-light.
  • Diapers: We only use Huggies Snugglers in the day because they keep him drier than other brands we have tried. At night, we use Pampers Swaddlers Overnights. Mom Tip: Go up one size in overnight diapers to ensure your baby stays dry all night, unless they just moved up in the next size in day-time diapers. Oakley was soaking through his pajamas until I learned to go up a size from one of my mom friends! Problem solved!
  • Baby Wipes: We use Pampers Sensitive wipes.
  • Otteroo: I LOVE this! It’s the best invention ever and Oakley loves the freedom it gives him in the water. It doesn’t hurt him and he started using it at 2 months old. We go swimming nearly everyday and we use this every time and it’s a great way to let his energy out so he can hopefully sleep longer at nap time 😉 win-win!
  • Baby Book: This isn’t a “baby product” but it has to do with your baby haha. I have been surprisingly good with keeping this up to date and I look forward to writing in it each month. I love this book because it goes beyond just baby’s first year. It goes all the way to five years old and includes everything you ever needed, such as, all your baby’s first holidays, milestones, their first foods and how they reacted to it and so much more.
  • Baby Monitor: We use this every single day, all day haha. It holds a charge well and it has a clear picture in night-mode. I love this brand.
