After living in Northern Idaho for a little over a year, I can with confidence let you in on all the cute date night spots here in the Coeur d’Alene area. There is no way I can possibly eat at every single restaurant out there, but we have definitely been to quite a few places. These are our go-to places for date night. If you are planning on visiting or have lived here for years, I hope you can refer back to this blog post and try something new!

Beverley’s
This is the nicest place to eat in town. It’s inside of the Coeur d’Alene Resort with a stunning view of the lake. The food and service is beyond impeccable, you will love this restaurant if you are a foodie like us! Start with the Baked Brie En Croute with a couple of their complimentary breads (they’re so delicious, don’t skimp out of trying one!), then order the Truffle Honey Fried Chicken or the Hot Rock Filet Mignon! Those are our absolute favorite entrees there. The Filet Mignon is lit on fire and it’s a fun little show! For dessert we love the Chocolate Brownie Cake. P.S if you go there for a special occasion, they will give you a fun cotton candy tower with candles (for a birthday), complimentary! Note: They also have a Lakeview For Two menu everyday until 6pm this summer! Three courses for two people for $80!

Cedars Floating Restaurant
Cedars is a apart of the resort dining, but is not at the resort. It’s a floating restaurant on the lake (yes, you heard that right, the entire restaurant is on a floating dock!) and has food similar to Beverly’s, but a little more dressed down. They have a similar menu to Beverley’s but it’s not the exact same, obviously. For appetizers I recommend the Pesto Flatbread (this is amazing!) or the Pacific Clams. I usally order the Fried Chicken (surprise! ha) which is similar to the one at Bevery’s, but a little spicier! Tanner gets the Filet Mignon (another surprise haha). The Garlic Rosemary Chicken Alfredo is also good too!
Satay Bistro
This restaurant is very cute and is more of a “wine bar” vibe. They serve complimentary bread with your food and it is AMAZING! Like so good. We keep coming back for that and the appetizers. The entrees are also delicious of course, but the appetizers are unique and the flavors are just perfect. Appetizers we love are the Lobster and Seabass Stuffed Wontons (the best!) and the Stuffed Mushroom Spoons. For entrees try the Creamy Pesto Tortellini or the Filet Mignon! The wine list is good too!

Tony’s On The Lake
Next to Beverly’s this Italian Restaurant is probably our favorite place for date night. The food is next level amazing and the service is always so friendly. They are next to the lake, so you can get a view of the water if you get a seat by a window. You can also pull up to their dock during the summer if you have a boat and grab a bite to eat! They have a wide variety of wines and cocktails to get started with and delicious appetizers. Our favorites are the Caprese, Piadina and the Carpaccio. For our entrees, I always get the chicken fediccine alfredo (not on the menu) and I’m not over exaggerating when I say it’s the best chicken alfredo I’ve ever had. The chicken is cooked so juicy and the flavor is so good that I eat the entire plate. Tanner typically gets any of their steak options.

Republic Kitchen + Taphouse
This cute restaurant is in Post Falls and is a old remodeled house-turned-restaurant! There is patio seating in the summer! The menu has everything you could want from Dirty Mac and Cheese to Char Sui Pork Tenderloin. I usually order their famous Twice Fried Chicken Sandwich. You can get it Southern Style or Korean Style. I have yet to try the Korean style, but I’m sure its yummy! Tanner gets the Blue Burger! Try the Himalayan Sea Salt Pretzel or the Belly Snacks to start!

Wolf Lodge Steakhouse
This steakhouse is so good! I HIGHLY recommend you eat here soon if you haven’t already! You should know that this isn’t a fancy place. It’s pretty casual, but the food tastes high-end. We ordered the Stuffed Mushrooms to start and they serve warm bread with the best butter we have tasted! For our entree, I ordered the Ranch Hand with mashed potatoes and gravy with a cup of French Onion soup and their buckaroo beans…SO DELICIOUS! Tanner ordered the Ribeye Steak with mashed potatoes with caesar salad and their buckaroo beans. The smoky flavor of the meat is perfection!

Terrace Rooftop Bar
This is a new restaurant in the CDA Resort with an amazing view of the lake! The menu is small, but man is it good! This is the perfect place to meet friends or a date for drinks and appetizers. It’s not overly crowded and there’s a lot of seating too! My favorite item on the menu is the Sweet Chili Pork Tacos! It comes loaded with meat and the chipotle aioli sauce elevates it to the next level.

Whispers
Surprise! Another restaurant at the resort! Ha-but I can’t leave this out of the list! This is a good place for drinks and apps. But the entrees are also delicious, so you really can’t go wrong! The WSU’s Cougar Gold Cheese Artichoke Dip is a must along with Fried Chicken Sandwhich, Southwest BBQ Chicken Salad or the Prime Rib Dinner. You have to end the night with one of their Gooey Sundaes! I love the Chocolate Obsession.

Terazza Waterfront Cafe
This restaurant is right on the Spokane River and serves delicious Latin American cuisine. We always start with the Guacamole and chips. It is SO packed with flavor and the chips are huge! It’s definitely worth the $17. I always order the street tacos because they’re amazing and Tanner usually gets the Chicken En Mole Negro. Everything I’ve eaten here has amazing, authentic flavor that is worth trying if you’re in the area. They also offer Lunch and Brunch too!

Crafted Taphouse and Kitchen
This restaurant on Sherman Ave in CDA is the first restaurant Tanner and I fell in love with. Their food is so good and their giant soft pretzel is the best soft pretzel we ever had! When we first came to Coeur d’Alene to visit, we came here twice and we came back a few more times before we actually moved to the area because it’s that good! The dipping sauces for the ‘House-made Gigantic Pretzel’ are so yummy, it almost tastes like a doughnut in it’s own unique way. A couple more appetizers to try are the ‘Signature Sweet Potato Fries’ and the ‘Catawampus Crawfish Chowder’. My favorite salad is the ‘One Giant Leaf for Mankind’. It’s a bleu cheese iceburge lettuce salad and it’s huge! Our favorite entrees are the ‘#42 ‘(the most mouth-watering burger CDA has to offer, IMO) and ‘Bono…Because He Said It Was Good’. They offer patio seating in the summer and in the winter they have Igloos that you can reserve to dine in!
