Life Update: We are Moving!

in Lifestyle on 08/06/20

If you didn’t already know, we are moving! I haven’t officially announced where we are moving to on social media, just that we have plans to when Tanner is done with school. I think everyone in our circle knows where we are headed, but for those who do not know yet, we are going to Idaho! Coeur d’Alene, Idaho to be exact. This was decided back in December when Tanner and I were talking about the future and how we wanted to raise our children. We still owned a house in the mountains of Washington State and I LOVED the little town we lived in. I especially loved how close we were to the lake and how close we were to many different hiking trails. I just could not imagine living anywhere else. It had a piece of my heart. It still does, however, I feel very at peace with our decision to move to CDA. There are many reasons why we chose to look at Idaho as a potential place to live. Tanner will be working for a Chiropractor that he highly respects and we thought it would be the best place to raise our children how we want to. Washington State is getting a little scary for us to feel confident in how we want to raise our family based on our beliefs. Besides that, it’s a close second place for the type of place I want to live. They have lots of hiking trails, mountains, lakes, trees, that small town vibe, and the nearest city is Spokane, only about 30 min away. It will have what we want and it will hopefully feel like home right away. We will also have friends that live there and we will be only a 5 hour drive to our parents house!

We sold our house in June and don’t plan on buying a house there right away. We will rent until we know the area more. Three days is not enough time for me to feel comfortable buying a house in a neighborhood I’m not sure I’ll love haha. So, thats our plan! We want to move asap, so it all depends on Tanner’s school requirements. It will most likely be February/March 2021, hopefully sooner, even if it means it’s just Oakley and I that move first.

Texas has been good to us so far and we have met some amazing friends along the way, but it never felt like home. When you know, you know! I will admit, I’ll for sure miss the warm, sunny days in the Spring/Summer, but we hope we can just travel somewhere warm during those months to escape it for awhile! We are so excited for this next journey in our lives and already feel like home there 🙂
