This was our first Autumn in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and I was not disappointed one bit! The colors of the trees, the beautiful sunny days and all the cozy meals I made were some of my favorite parts this season. I made a Fall Bucket List this year and we completed each thing within the month of October and they were some of the best memories we have made here so far. Everything that we did will be in this post so you can use it as a resource if you ever plan on visiting in the Fall! I will also link some of the cozy fall recipes I have made on repeat too 🙂
Pumpkin Patches
We went to three pumpkin patches in the Greenbluff area of Mt.Spokane this year. I wanted to visit a few more that I had found on Instagram, but it’s hard to do ALL of the things with kids. It’s about 40 minutes from where we live which isn’t far at all, but our 2.5 year old can make a 10 minute car ride feel like 3 hours, so….haha.
The first and best pumpkin patch we visited was Walter’s Fruit Ranch and it was so much fun for all ages! They have a play area for younger kids to explore and run around in and they offer tractor rides for them too! Walter’s has so much to do from apple picking to U-Pick pumpkins, U-pick sunflowers, a cute gift shop, food trucks, an adult beverage area and live music! It’s seriously so much fun. You have to get the pumpkin donuts and their Apple Cider Mimosa if you go. Their pumpkin selection is also amazing too!
The second pumpkin farm we visited was Siemers Farm which is also fun for kids. They have food trucks on the weekends and vendors selling their goods and a fun corn maze that leads to a castle! They had tons of pumpkins, hay bales and corn stalks for sale as well!
The best place to see all the fall colors in the CDA area are in the neighborhoods downtown, specifically 5th and 6th street and the Coeur d’Alene City Park. There are so many huge trees filled with vibrant reds, yellows and oranges and the leaves cover the sidewalks. It’s also pretty to see all the colors near the lake too. We took a family walk down there and it was probably my most favorite thing we did. Oakley got to jump in puddles and play with the leaves while Tanner and I strolled behind him, sipping our hot beverages. It was so calming and beautiful and my heart felt so full. I highly recommend!
Another fun thing we did was hike Tubbs Hill near the resort. It was such a gorgeous day when we went and it wasn’t too chilly.
